In traditional Proof-of-Stake (PoS) networks, over 90% of GPU cycles are consumed by consensus tasks unrelated to the blockchain’s inherent value. Gonka radically disrupts this model, directing nearly 100% of its resources toward productive AI workloads. This approach not only maximizes efficiency but also ensures that every unit of computing power directly contributes to the advancement of AI research and applications.

Early adoption incentives
To accelerate network adoption, Gonka introduces a “grace period” of 180 epochs (approximately six months). During this period, inference tasks can be run at zero cost. Simultaneously, a fixed number of GNK, the network’s native token, will be distributed daily to active hosts. The issuance of GNK will gradually decrease over time, aiming to disproportionately reward early adopters through scarcity.

Permissionless Design
All participants can connect their GPUs and start contributing computing power and earn GNK instantly without any permission. For developers, the network provides an OpenAI-compatible API , allowing them to easily build on top of the decentralized infrastructure without sacrificing usability.

Ushering in a new era of multi-faceted AI
By deeply aligning incentives with meaningful work and removing centralized gatekeepers, Gonka lays a fundamentally new foundation for AI development—a new paradigm in which computing power is viewed as a shared public resource and knowledge is allowed to flourish freely without censorship.
