Content: Yesterday, the crypto fear index dropped to 11, but I still believe there will be a rebound. I’ve started buying the dip in SOL, ADA, and ENA (and opened small contracts). I simply feel that PIPPIN and BEAT have risen too much, so I opened short positions in both this morning (I’ll share my profits in the next post).

Macro: US stocks hit new highs, but crypto stocks hit new lows for the year. This stark contrast between hot and cold sectors presents asymmetric opportunities, with crypto natives potentially profiting from the stock market through tokenized trading platforms. The altcoin sector will continue to suffer losses, but meme stocks like Gamestop may experience a new wave of hype. Investment advice: Sister Mu’s Ark Fund is still buying on dips, including Coinbase, Circle, and Bitmine. I personally think there is still a chance for a rebound. Prediction Markets: Kalshi launched the Combo feature, which I think is an important milestone for prediction markets to break away from the native crypto space and grow into an independent emerging sector. This also means that: (1) prediction markets support automated combination operations; (2) prediction markets and derivatives in traditional financial markets are more closely integrated. Within 5 to 8 years (or even less), it will soon grow into a trillion-dollar sector. Most importantly, the development of prediction markets and the updates and changes of platforms are also betting events, so the two have reached a kind of “self-referential state”. “Prediction Market Platform” may become a separate section. To some extent, everything can be predicted and everyone is a product manager. It is worth looking forward to. After all, behind every bet is the bonus provided by the counterparty.

The new product, “Life K-line,” was originally a test version created by @0xsakura666 within the industry. Due to positive feedback, it was systematized and became a project ( https://www.lifekline.cn/ ). Many users have reported that the AI-generated fortune-telling results closely reflect their realities. I believe this is a major trend, especially with the integration of AI with stablecoins, the x402 protocol, and EIP 8004. Content: 1. Currently focusing on Polymarket copy trading, while also generating Opinions on the side. 2. Prediction markets are becoming increasingly prevalent, exceeding my current capacity for tracking. A conversation with a major company revealed that an aggregated prediction market and a full-data platform are on the way (Polymarket’s official implementation is terrible). 3. I’ve started a Human vs. AI project, featuring selected copy traders from Nanzhi vs. a new AI model, which will be launched soon.

Dingdang (X: @XiaMiPP) Introduction: Pure “leeks” (a metaphor for being exploited or taken advantage of).

Content: I personally tend to go long on BTC, ETH , or some high-quality altcoins. Recently, apart from buying ZEC, I haven’t dared to touch other altcoins easily. Bitcoin is also particularly volatile; the harder I try, the more money I lose.

I have a feeling that the current market trend is somewhat similar to the pullback phase at the top of the 2021 bull market. If it really repeats itself, then we might be in the early stages of a bear market. But on the other hand, we’re now entering a rate-cutting cycle, and macroeconomically, there doesn’t seem to be a basis for a deep bear market. Moreover, leading DAT companies have recently been buying crypto assets in large quantities. Do they have some major positive news that we don’t know about or haven’t seen yet? In short, this market is too difficult to navigate right now. I’d better hold onto my holdings and play it safe.

Content: The only major event last week was probably Fed Chair Powell’s announcement of an interest rate cut. The market outlook, as summarized by institutions, is that short-term market activity is declining, and a sustained “gradual decline” may occur by the end of the year. The momentum for a renewed bull market is limited. Whether further interest rate cuts will occur in the long term depends on weak wage growth or employment data. If the data remains weak, rate cuts may become more aggressive, but it’s best to avoid blindly buying the dip now.

I recently chatted with people in the industry, and this is just a rumor, but due to the tightening of policies this year, many of the agents in Shenzhen who previously provided operations and maintenance services for exchanges will most likely have moved overseas by the end of the year . Just take it as a joke, there’s no way to verify it.

golem(X:@web3_golem): Introduction: Golem’s ingenious ideas

Content: Last week, Sei’s announcement of pre-installing an app on overseas versions of Xiaomi phones garnered significant attention. However, Sei seemed hesitant after making the announcement, issuing a clarification and contacting major Chinese media outlets to remove the related news. Subsequently, within Odaily, we discussed that exchanges are actually the ones that should be partnering with phone manufacturers for pre-installed crypto applications.

So I asked a few people at exchanges. According to insiders, Binance had actually partnered with the overseas version of Xiaomi before Sei, but due to Xiaomi’s restrictions, it only existed in certain markets and wasn’t something worth marketing . Moreover, this pre-installation doesn’t automatically download to the phone upon startup; instead, a guide page pops up, giving users full control, similar to a push notification. The effectiveness of this is questionable.

However, the general enthusiasm for pre-installation also indicates that growth remains the biggest problem for Web3. If a project can break into the mainstream, regardless of whether it is personally relevant to them, they will feel a sense of excitement.

Content: The market trends of the past week have made me even more convinced of one thing: the cryptocurrency market is systematically bidding farewell to the narrative of collective price increases based on time nodes, such as the “Christmas rally”.

Previously, it was thought that the price would fall in November, followed by a rebound in December, especially a significant increase in the 1-2 weeks before Christmas, because many US-listed companies had included Bitcoin in their coffers. These companies are backed by Wall Street, and considering human nature, Wall Street would likely try to capitalize on this for year-end bonuses. However, reality quickly proved them wrong. Even Strategy’s announcement in the past two weeks of purchasing over 20,000 Bitcoins failed to reverse the price decline. Previously, several Wall Street banks’ Bitcoin price predictions were largely unreliable, seemingly designed to lure retail investors in. For example, JPMorgan Chase predicted Bitcoin would reach $170,000, Bernstein predicted $200,000, and Standard Chartered predicted $100,000.

Another factor to watch is Friday’s yen interest rate hike. As a carry trade currency, a rate hike could cause panic among investors who previously borrowed yen at “zero interest.” These investors typically borrow yen to purchase other interest-bearing currencies (such as the US dollar) and risky assets (such as gold and Bitcoin). If the rate hike means increased repayment costs, investors will choose to sell risky assets, leading to a further drop in Bitcoin prices.

Among altcoins, SOL has received a lot of positive news in the past week (possibly due to the Breakpoint conference), such as Visa opening up USDC settlement services to US banks through Solana, Invesco’s collaboration with Galaxy to launch a collateralized Solana ETP, and Charles Schwab announcing support for purchasing Solana and Micro Solana futures products. However, due to the overall poor performance of the market, the price of SOL has not made much of a breakthrough.

Suzz (X: @uu01194636) Introduction: Adhering to long-termism, shorting worthless cryptocurrencies.

Content: The crypto market is flooded with projects of varying quality. My core observation is that a significant portion of new projects are truly focused on dumping tokens rather than long-term development. This is an inherent risk of irrational market exuberance, and also my opportunity. My idea is to short these overvalued, inevitably declining “dump projects,” thereby turning risk into profit . The difficulty of shorting lies in the extreme volatility of cryptocurrencies; one cannot afford to be “short squeezed” or “liquidated” due to temporary rebounds.

The current direction being explored is how to capture profits from market dips while preventing losses from short-term market noise or extreme rebounds through rigorous risk control. We are researching an entry and stop-loss mechanism that does not rely on high leverage, tolerates a certain level of volatility, and has a very high margin of error. We are also attempting to establish an evaluation system to accurately identify projects “born to dump” based on token economics, unlocking cycles, and fund flows.

Content: On-chain liquidity is dropping rapidly, and PvP is now competing with the smarter and more diligent players for resources. At this time, it’s best for most people to refrain from engaging in PvP, otherwise they risk becoming the exit liquidity provider for those at higher levels. The more you try when the market is bad, the more unfortunate you’ll become. If you know you’re not a top-tier player, just wait for the market to improve before engaging in PvP.

I am optimistic about the Meme sector in the long term. When liquidity is good, there are still good opportunities to make money. Unlike other sectors, it won’t completely collapse. You can observe the operations of the addresses of experts who are still making money. Copy them first and then gradually develop your own style. It is best to observe more and act less.
